While bamboo bikes have been around for more than one hundred years, Pineapple offers a new level. The bamboo with its natural vibration dampening offers a far smoother ride than the bike you got. Bamboo is known for its light weight but sturdy capabilities, used in Asia and Africa for a wide variety of purposes from arts to construction material.

The bamboo species in use is Bambusa Vulgaris, grown in native Ghana. Joints are made from hemp (like usual), epoxy, and metal. The hemp fibers are soaked in epoxy and wrapped around the metal and bamboo parts. After the epoxy dries the joints are sanded down for a smooth finish. The whole frame is treated with a finisher to be enjoyed in all weather.

People will for sure have neck injuries when you ride by. One rider said it was definitely one of those bikes that would get stolen if not properly locked up.

Purchasing this frame will help a youth empowerment project in Ghana. All frames are handmade by locals; the whole process from start to finish.
